Seven species are reported as new to vice county lists
The following new vice county records have been observed recently;
Agromyza alnibetulae Hendel, 1931 – NEW TO VC74. Jill Cunningham found leaf mines at Castle Stewart Loch, Wigtownshire on 28 August 2024.
Agromyza flaviceps Fallen, 1823 – NEW TO VC36. Tim Kaye observed leaf mines on 2 September at Broughton Arms PH, Hereforeshire; NEW TO VC56. On 31 August 2024, Tom Shields found larval mines at Gedling CP, Nottinghamshire.
Aulagromyza luteoscutellata (de Meijere, 1924) – NEW TO VC73. On 31 August 2024, Jill Cunningham spotted leaf mines at Crossmichael, Kirkcudbrightshire.
Chromatomyia blackstoniae Spencer, 1990 – NEW TO VC58. On 1 September, Chris Hynes found leaf mines at Northwich, Cheshire.
Chromatomyia horticola (Goureau, 1851) – NEW TO VC86. Dean Stables found leaf mines at Boclair Brae, Stirlingshire on 28 August 2024.
Chromatomyia lonicerae (Robineau-Desvoidy, 1851) – NEW TO VC74. Jill Cunningham recorded larval mines at Castle Stewart Loch, Wigtownshire on 28 August 2024.
Phytomyza ranunculivora Hering, 1932 – NEW TO VC57. Graham Beeley found leaf mines at Pleasley Pit Country Park, Derbyshire on 26 August 2024.
