Two new host genera are reported for a Liriomyza species

A recently published paper* discusses the larval biology and morphology of Liriomyza orbona (Meigen, 1830) and adds two new host genera for the species.

The biology and morphology of this species is stated to be unknown in several publications and online resources; however, based upon reared material discussed within the paper and results within overlooked literature and unpublished observations, the larval biology and morphology of the species are accurately described. All confirmed host genera are given, along with a description and illustration of the larval mine and puparium.

Phalaris and Phleum are reported as new host genera for the species.
