Dipterist adds six Agromyzidae species to four vice county lists
During 2023, Ivan Perry collected several adult Agromyzidae specimens which proved to be vice county ‘firsts’.
These were:
- Agromyza demeijerei Hendel, 1920 – NEW TO CAMBRIDGESHIRE (VC29)
- Cerodontha (Dizygomyza) suturalis (Hendel, 1931) – NEW TO EAST SUFFOLK (VC25)
- Liriomyza latipalpis Hendel, 1920 – NEW TO NORTH DEVON (VC4)
- Ophiomyia beckeri (Hendel, 1923) – NEW TO NORTH DEVON (VC4) and EAST SUFFOLK (VC25)
- Ophiomyia curvipalpis (Zetterstedt, 1848) – NEW TO NORTH DEVON (VC4)
- Phytoliriomyza perpusilla (Meigen, 1830) – NEW TO WEST NORFOLK (VC28)
