Stem feeding species is reported as new to Scottish list
Paul Cobb has added Melanagromyza oligophaga Spencer, 1990 to the Scottish list*. On 31 December 2023, Paul found a puparium inside a Knapweed stem in Ayrshire which, upon examination of the posterior spiracles, was found to belong to M. oligophaga.
