Phytobia species is added to the West Lancashire Diptera list
On 18 January 2024, the Fishwick Volunteers found the larval feeding signs of Phytobia carbonaria (Zetterstedt, 1848) in Hawthorn at Fishwick Local Nature Reserve, West Lancashire VC60. This is the first known record for the vice county.
