Leaf miner is added to the South-west Yorkshire Agromyzidae list

The leaf mines of Chromatomyia scolopendri (Robineau-Desvoidy, 1851) have been found for the first time in South-west Yorkshire (VC63) by Richard Davidson at Potteric Carr Nature Reserve, Doncaster. Several mines were spotted on Hart’s-tongue Fern (Asplenium scolopendrium). Many thanks to Richard for sending in his record.

This species was not known from anywhere in Yorkshire up until a few years ago but is now recorded from four (VC61, VC62, VC63 and VC64) of the five vice counties that make up Yorkshire.
