First record of Plantain leaf miner found in South Northumberland
On 29 November 2023, Jill Cunningham found the mines of Phytomyza plantaginis (Robineau-Desvoidy, 1851) on Greater Plantain (Plantago major )and Ribwort Plantain (Plantago lanceolata) at Blayney Row, Newburn, Newcastle upon Tyne, South Northumberland, VC67, which represents the first known record of this species in the vice county.
