Another new vice county record is reported for Phytobia species
On 28 December 2023, Jill Cunningham found the medullary spots and feeding tracks of Phytobia carbonaria (Zetterstedt, 1848) at Tyne Riverside Country Park, Newburn, Newcastle upon Tyne VC67. This is the first known record of the species in the vice county.
