Phytobia species is added to the South Northumberland Diptera list
On 7 January 2024, Jill Cunningham visited Wylam, South Northumerland VC67 and found the medullary spots of Phytobia cerasiferae (Kangas, 1955) in Blackthorn stems. This is the first time the species has been recorded in the vice county.
