Species new to VC77

**New Scottish vice county record is reported for Phytobia species**

Dean Stables has recorded the first known occurrence of Phytobia carbonaria (Zetterstedt, 1848) in Lanarkshire VC77. Dean found larval feeding signs in a Hawthorn stem along the F&C canal towpath, Maryhill, Glasgow on 29 December 2023.
