Nine species are reported as new to nine vice counties

The latest new vice county additions are reported below;

Ophiomyia melandricaulis Hering, 1943 – NEW TO VC53. On 19 September 2024, Andy and Melissa Banthorpe found a stem mine near RAF Waddington, South Lincolnshire.

Amauromyza morionella (Zetterstedt, 1848) – NEW TO VC66. Jill Cunningham spotted leaf mines at Lumley Park, County Durham on 17 September 2024.

Aulagromyza luteoscutellata (de Meijere, 1924) – NEW TO VC35. Lisa Rowley recorded leaf mines on 7 September 2024 at Dixton with Osbaston, Monmouthshire.

Chromatomyia aprilina (Goureau, 1851) – NEW TO VC100. On 23 September 2024, Malcolm Haddow found leaf mines at Leac Gharbh, Clyde Isles.

Chromatomyia primulae (Robineau-Desvoidy, 1851) – NEW TO VC108. Chris Hynes found leaf mines at Inchnadampf, West Sutherland on 19 September 2024.

Liriomyza pusilla (Meigen, 1830) – NEW TO VC2. On 18 September 2024, Nick Butcher spotted a leaf mine at Torpoint, East Cornwall.

Phytomyza eupatorii Hendel, 1927 – NEW TO VC62. Graham Beeley recorded leaf mines at Sandsend, North-east Yorkshire on 19 September 2024.

Phytomyza hellebori Kaltenbach, 1874 – NEW TO VC56. On 21 September 2024, Tom Shields found leaf mines at Colwick, Nottinghamshire.

Phytomyza minuscula Goureau, 1851 – NEW TO VC94. Malcolm MacGavin found leaf mines on 17 September 2024 in Moray.
