More additions are reported to seven vice county Diptera lists
Seven species have recently been added to vice county lists;
Agromyza varicornis Strobl, 1898 – NEW TO VC28. On 28 August 2024, Rob Edmunds found the larval mine in Downham Market, West Norfolk.
Amauromyza verbasci (Bouche, 1847) – NEW TO VC85. Robert Homan recorded leaf mine at St Andrews, Fifeshire on 27 August 2024.
Chromatomyia aprilina (Goureau, 1851) – NEW TO VC71. On 28 August 2024, Andy Goerdel found leaf mines at Lonan, Isle of Man.
Liriomyza cicerina (Rondani, 1875) – NEW TO VC32. Richard Davidson recorded mines at Barnack Hills, Collyweston Quarries and Old Sulehay NR, Northamptonshire on 28 August 2024.
Phytomyza angelicae Kaltenbach, 1872 – NEW TO VC71. On 29 August 2024, Andy Goerdel recorded the mines on Isle on Man.
Phytomyza calthophila Hendel, 1931 – NEW TO VC52. John Bratton spotted leaf mines on 24 August 2024 at Llandegfan, Anglesey.
Phytomyza cytisi Brischke, 1881 – NEW TO VC22. Julian Mitchell recorded larval mines on 28 August 2024 at Larchfield Estate, Berkshire.
